Exercising has always been considered to be a great way of stress release. This is mainly because of the chemical effects exercise is known to cause. Exercise can also make you have healthy physical health.
This article will tell you why exercise is such a great way of stress release and I will introduce some exercises that are good for stress release.
Why is Exercising is a Great Way For Stress Release
Exercising is a great way of stress release because when you are stressed, your endorphin will get lesser and lesser until you are extremely unhappy. However, exercising can pump up your endorphins. Exercising also helps you to make your blood flow faster, lessening the risk of a stroke. Physical activities can also help you to take your mind off your worries. By focusing on the rhythm of your movement when you are exercising, you can experience many of the same benefits meditation can bring you.
Now, I will list out some sports that can help with stress.
Sports #1: Swimming
Swimming is an extremely old sport and it requires plenty of physical exertions. It is known to lower the possibility of depression and is often recommended to mentally challenged people. Due to evolution, swimming is kind of hard-wired to our brain, so anyone at any age should be able to swim.
"I think extreme sports are really good for relieving stress" – Dave Chappelle
Sports #2: Tennis
Tennis is one of the best aerobic exercises, it can easily burn as many calories as any other extreme sport. Tennis involves many movements that can create a lot of endorphins in a very short amount of time. Such as hand-eye coordination, sprinting, pivoting, slams, etc... However, tennis needs a fully developed arm muscle to play. In other words, kids should be allowed to play if they are 6 years old or older, and adults should reduce the time playing tennis after 70 years old.
Sports #3: Wrestling
Wrestling is a great sport for it reduces stress and anxiety. It can be used for self defense so if you use wrestling for stress release, you can also learn how to protect yourself. However, the fitness and the skill involved in this sport require a lot of exercises and mental awareness. The one best thing about wrestling is that it requires a strict disciplined mindset and consistency. Over time, one can master wrestling faster than any other sport. Wrestling can burn a lot of calories, but not as much as cardio exercises.
Sports #4: Running
Running is considered to be the easiest sport. It is also known as the most effective and burns more calories than any other sport. Running helps to build up the bone structure as well as reduces the muscle loss as your age increases. Running is a demanding sport, but it is the most rewarding sport on the planet. Age is not a limit to this sport, however, your physical condition is. Having a disease in your knee or any part of your leg may stop you from running.
To keep it short, there are many sports that can release stress. I have only listed a few in this article. The ones I have listed are the ones that I think are the best. Comment below if you have any suggestions to make.
